Andrea HamiltonWealth Advisor

    Andrea spent two decades covering international business, politics and investing as a reporter in Asia before becoming an investment advisor in 2007. As a lifelong outdoorswoman and environmentalist, she loves working with people who want to make positive change in the world. She believes in the motto “put your money where your mouth is,” and specializes in developing customized investment strategies to help clients align their wealth with their values. She brings a cross-cultural perspective to her practice, having lived, studied and worked in Europe and Asia.

    Andrea got her first taste of Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) at her alma mater, Hampshire College, which was active in the 1980s divestment movement to pressure the South African apartheid regime. She has two master’s degrees from the University of California at Berkeley in Asian Studies and journalism, and holds the Certified Financial Planner© designation. She joined Perigon Wealth as a Wealth Advisor in 2020 and the Stakeholders Capital team in 2025.

    Andrea lives on the island of Alameda in San Francisco bay and spends her non-working hours paddling and racing outrigger canoes on the bay and in Hawaii, and hiking in the woods with her husky Shadow. She volunteers with the Alameda Food Bank, as well as Sierra Club, Earth Day and Coastal Clean Up activities throughout the year; she also volunteers with the Financial Planning Association’s annual Pro Bono Financial Planning Day clinic.
